Professional Training Series: BEYOND THE CULTURAL MODEL

What is BCM and who is it for?

Motovila, in cooperation with partners and international experts, has been organizing a professional training series entitled »Beyond the Cultural Model« (BCM) since 2018. The training series offers new tools, skills and knowledge for the integrated development of the Slovenian cultural and creative sectors (CSS), as well as the opportunity to test and adjust their way of working in order to achieve lasting and sustainable effects in the future. At the same time, the BCM programme contributes to the promotion and awareness of the value of culture for other sectors, especially education and science, as well as the social, economic and healthcare sectors.

BCM 2020 Training Series in Cooperation with the Centre for Creativity

Based on the actual needs of the sector, the current crisis, and the latest (international) guidelines and trends in the development of this sector, we are organizing a series of free, publicly available BCM training, which will be carried out in cooperation with the Centre for Creativity (CfC) between June and November 2020.

The training is tailored to different target groups and/or focuses on different topics relevant to the cultural, film and creative sectors.

In June, we are starting with the financial management of (international) projects, and continuing with the development of audiences, also with the aim of re-establishing audience relations after the corona crisis. The webinars, which are aimed at representatives of all fields of the CSS, will be presented by experts in the field of strategic and financial development of organizations, and development of audience-centred organizations.

Between August and November, we invite you to take part in a series of specialized professional training sessions for experts in the field of film and in the AV sectors. These will be organized within the framework of the following international film festivals:

  • Kino Otok (Izola, August): Innovative models of cooperation between international film festivals and video-on-demand platforms.
  • Poklon viziji (Nova Gorica, October): Event details will be published at a later date.
  • LIFFe (Ljubljana, November): The challenges of promoting and presenting AV work.
