The project MIP-Amplifier (MIP-A) aims to facilitate and optimise the mobility in the EU of artists and culture professionals, by supporting, in a more documented and visible way, reliable, free and accessible tailor-made information. The project covers all arts and cultural sectors.

One of the project objectives is to empower recent MIPs – Mobility Information Points to strengthen their capacity to better serve the sector in all its diversity and to help develop potential new MIPs in other EU countries, through a MIP handbook that would contribute to strengthening coherent and coordinated actions among existing and future MIPs. This MIP handbook (or knowledge transfer tool) will be conceptualised through a training in Ljubljana on 11-13 September 2023 (on invitation only).

MIP – Mobility Information Points will be presented at the #Mobility4Creativity Forum taking place in Ljubljana on 12 September 2023. The Forum will focus in particular on mobility to/from Germany with guest speakers from touring artists.

Ta Logotouring artists: As the German Mobility Information Point (MIP), the project ‘touring artists’ offers information and advice for artists and culture professionals in an international context (to/from Germany). Through an online portal (www.touring-artists.info) and a free consultation service, the project deals with the administrative aspects of cross-border mobility, such as visas, taxes, social security, insurance, and customs. touring artists is a joint project of the International Theatre Institute (ITI) Germany, the Internationale Gesellschaft der Bildenden Künste (IGBK, International Association of Art), and the Dachverband Tanz Deutschland (German Dance Association), supported by the Federal Commissioner for Culture and the Media.

The project’s leader is On the Move, together with two Mobility Info Points (MIPs), members of On the Move, Motovila (Slovenia) and touring artists (Germany).
The project MIP-A is supported by ECAS-European Citizen Action Service, part of a financial support to third parties (re-granting) scheme of which ECAS is beneficiary for its EURECA 2023 project. The MIP-A training in Ljubljana is supported by the ECAS and the Ministry of Culture Republic of Slovenia.
