Kulttuuriosuuskunta (FI), ILME (PT) and Kuća Klajn (HR) invite you to propose your one-to-one artwork for their festivals (see below). One-to-one art means works by one artist presented to only one person at a time. All art fields works are welcomed. Disabled artists are also welcome to participate. You can propose your work to the Kehä-festival in Oulu, Finland (30.10. – 2.11.2024.), to the One-to-one Festival in Lisbon, Portugal (15. – 17.11. 2024) or to both. Besides, if you need a place to develop an interesting idea to a final work of art, three places available in the artist residency in Klanjec, Croatia on 9.–29.9.2024 are available.
Organizers are looking for three types of works:
- Private works where the artist and the experiencer are alone in a space, in absolute confidentiality.
- Works of public bilaterality, where the contact between the artist and the experiencer can be observed by a wider audience.
- Works that build up over the course of the day, in which the traces of the participants form an exhibition, a concert or other ensemble. Artists wiil be given the freedom to explore the art form. What does one-to-one art make possible? Works can last from a few minutes to a few hours.
The organizers will cover fees for artists, all the payments the taxes and laws of the specific countries apply; as well as travel expenses, home accommodation, one meal per working day and material costs. It is possible to apply with a work of two artists but then the artists have to share the fees.
