How to plan and organize inclusive and accessible cultural events?

How to make an event accessible? How do you  plan and organize a cultural event, festival or performance that is inclusive and open to all?

Enabling broader cultural enjoyment through the principle of equal opportunity requires both architectural accessibility of the event venue and access to the experiences and content being promoted. However, for people with disabilities, unhindered access to the event venue and the event is not always guaranteed.

On Monday, 22 January 2024, Motovila (CED Slovenia) in collaboration with Creative Europe Media Desk Italy and Germany invites you to the Trieste film festival (19–27 January 2024) to the event entitled Culture beyond access: how to plan and organize inclusive and accessible cultural events with a keynote speaker Metka Dariš, Vice President Europa Cinemas, and panelists Seneit Debese, Greta&Starks (DE),  Federico Spoletti, In Cinema Festival (IT) and Živa Jurančič, Kinodvor (SI).

Event aims to be an opportunity for discussion and exchange of best practices for organizing accessible and inclusive cultural events also in light of the goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Motovila is partner to film festivals. We provide strategic advice in the development, international collaboration and positioning of film festivals and professionals.
