GreenCult is a project aimed at strengthening green knowledge and skills among cultural professionals, with a particular focus on leaders of cultural centres in the Czech Republic and Slovenia. The main objective is to develop a simple, practical and transferable model that will help cultural organisations systematically introduce sustainable practices – from strategic planning to everyday operations.
The project builds on the understanding that culture has significant potential to raise awareness of climate change. However, sustainability approaches in cultural policies are often still insufficiently developed, while existing tools can be difficult to navigate, less accessible in local languages or not sufficiently tailored to the real-life needs of cultural institutions. GreenCult addresses this gap through targeted training and practical resources.17
