As part of the 21st edition of the ZagrebDox PRO program at the ZagrebDox International Documentary Film Festival, 18 Creative Europe MEDIA Desks are joining forces to present Travelling Docs: Masterclass – Artificial Intelligence in Audiovisual Production: From Concept to Practice, in collaboration with the Spanish Artefacto.

This year, ZagrebDox PRO is dedicated to the transformative role of artificial intelligence in documentary filmmaking—exploring its creative potential while addressing the ethical dilemmas it poses. The program will dive into AI’s capabilities, its impact on storytelling, and the boundaries that must be respected to uphold transparency and journalistic integrity. Participants will engage in thought-provoking discussions on how AI can enhance creativity while also recognizing its risks—ensuring documentary filmmaking remains a responsible and ethical craft.

Creative Europe MEDIA Desks from Croatia, Belgium (Wallonia – Brussels), Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Italy (Torino), Latvia, Hungary, Norway, Germany (Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, NRW), Portugal, Slovenia and Sweden organize Travelling Docs: Masterclass – Artificial Intelligence in Audiovisual Production: From Concept to Practice, giving the audience a practical insight into the world of artificial intelligence in audiovisual production, connecting and integrating theoretical basics with case analysis from the impressive portfolio of the renowned Spanish production company Artefacto. The lecturers are Anna Giralt Gris and Jorge Caballero from the production company Artefacto from Barcelona.
