The year 2025 is a crucial year for the European Union and its strategic direction; a new strategic framework, called the Cultural Compass, is being developed, and a new seven-year EU budget is also on the horizon, which could bring significant changes.
Ahead of the European Parliament’s debate on the financial framework and with the new European Commission beginning its work, the organizations Culture Action Europe, Europa Nostra, and the European Cultural Foundation are organizing a discussion on the Cultural Agreement for Europe. This will help incorporate culture into the budget and ensure that, in times of war, division, and polarization, culture takes center stage in the EU legislative agenda.
