Erasmus+ funding opportunity for cultural heritage

EACEA has published the Erasmus+ Sector Skills Alliances call for proposals (EAC/A02/2019) that is open for the cultural heritage sector. Deadline for submission: 26 February 2020. Note that EACEA is holding an online Info session on the 2nd of Dec. 2019 (14.00–16.00).

Within Erasmus+ Sector Skills Alliances (LOT2), cultural heritage has been selected (besides blockchain, cybersecurity, rail supply and transport industries, work integration social enterprises and software services) to develop a Blueprint for Sectorial Cooperation on Skills, one of the key initiatives of the new skills agenda for Europe.

Under the blueprint, stakeholders work together in sector-specific partnerships, also called sectoral skills alliances, to develop and implement strategies to address skills gaps in these sectors. These sector-specific partnerships gather key stakeholders, including business, trade unions, research institutions, education and training institutions and public authorities. Partnerships for a sector must represent all the key actors interested in the development of skills in the sector.

The purpose of the blueprint is to address skills shortages and unemployment by gathering information for the European skills panorama, developing a sector skills strategy, developing occupational profiles, vocational programmes and qualifications, designing a long term action plan to be rolled out at the national and regional levels and promoting the use of EU tools such as the European qualifications framework (EQF), the European skills, competences, qualifications and occupations (ESCO), the Europass, the European credit system for vocational education and training (ECVET) and the European quality assurance in vocational education and training (EQAVET).
