{"id":19683,"date":"2024-01-23T14:33:19","date_gmt":"2024-01-23T13:33:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/motovila.si\/?p=19683"},"modified":"2024-01-23T15:27:44","modified_gmt":"2024-01-23T14:27:44","slug":"open-call-in-the-field-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/motovila.si\/en\/open-call-in-the-field-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"Open Call In the Field 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Wiener Festwochen <\/strong>in collaboration with brut Wien, is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.festwochen.at\/en\/in-the-field-2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">calling for applications for 15 scholarships<\/a> for artists and cultural workers from Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, <strong>Slovenia<\/strong>, Slovakia and Hungary under the heading <em>In the Field<\/em>. In the framework of a <strong>ten-day programme (17 to 26 May 2024)<\/strong>, <em>In the Field<\/em> will facilitate transregional networking and transfer of knowledge in the context of an international theatre festival, bringing together participants from a 300 kilometre radius around Vienna.<\/p>\n<p>For the first edition of the festival under the new artistic directorship of Milo Rau, <em>In the Field<\/em> addresses in particular artists and cultural workers at the start of their careers with practices that are located at the <strong>intersection of art and activism<\/strong>. This year, <em>In the Field<\/em> will be mentored by director, theatre scholar and activist Gin M\u00fcller.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>programme is aimed<\/strong> at artists and cultural workers at the start of their careers and advanced students of various disciplines (Bachelor students near completion of their studies as well as master\u00b4s and PhD students), and in particular at those whose practice is located at the intersection of art and activism.<\/p>\n<p>The group will consist of five scholarship recipients from Vienna and ten from the federal provinces and neighbouring countries whose home or work life centre is located within a radius of 300 km around Vienna.<\/p>\n<p>Participation in <em>In the Field<\/em> is free of charge for recipients of the scholarship and includes tickets for selected performances as well as \u2013 for all scholarship holders from outside of Vienna \u2013 accommodation in single rooms (incl. breakfast) for nine overnight stays and travel costs of no more than EUR 200 to cover the journey to and from Vienna by train or coach.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Deadline for applications: 17 February 2024.<\/strong><br \/>\nFor further information, see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.festwochen.at\/en\/in-the-field-2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>[Photo: Karolina Miernik.]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For artists and cultural workers from Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Slovakia and Hungary.
